You photograph the old bathroom or describe what's coming out and what's going in. The AI suggests line items for strip-out, waterproofing, laying, grouting and silicone, with quantities. You check and change everything, price it with your hourly rate and send the quote as a PDF.
What makes tiling quotes such hard work
A bathroom refit is lots of jobs in one
Knock off the old tiles, scrape off adhesive, dispose, prime, waterproof, lay, grout, silicone. A complete bathroom easily runs to twenty line items, and every one you miss costs you money.
Waterproofing to DIN 18534
Bonded waterproofing in the shower, sealing tape in corners and at junctions, sealing collars at pipe penetrations: it has to be in, and the customer should see that it's in. Leave it out across the board and you're liable for water damage later.
Format and laying pattern change everything
30x60 in half bond, 60x120 large format or wood-effect herringbone: adhesive, offcuts and labour time are different every time. On top of that, trims, skirting and holes in running metres and pieces.

The AI puts the line items together
The AI recognises the work and suggests line items from the catalogue of services with materials and labour time, from strip-out through primer and waterproofing to grout and silicone. The quantities are a suggestion; your own measurements count.

Check, enter prices, send
You adjust quantities, add surcharges for large format or diagonal laying and enter your own prices. Everything is calculated with your hourly rate. The quote goes to the customer by email as a PDF with your logo.

The app calculates materials and labour time from the catalogue and your hourly rate. The line items appear in German, exactly as your customer sees them in the quote. You check every line before the quote goes out.

You see missing prices straight away
If there's no price for a tile or line item, or the price is unchecked, the app marks it. Especially with tiles the customer picks themselves, you simply enter the price yourself.
Order, invoice, receipts
The quote becomes the order confirmation and then the invoice, locked in line with GoBD. You scan adhesive and grout receipts, log working hours directly, and EÜR and DATEV export are included.
Your language on site
You can use the app in 22 languages. The quote to the customer is in German. The quoting AI runs in a data centre in Frankfurt am Main.

Prices for HandwerkerBuddy haven't been set yet. Signing up is free and without obligation. You'll get the terms before you have to decide.
Which tiling work does the AI recognise?
Typical jobs such as knocking off old tiles, priming the substrate, bonded waterproofing to DIN 18534 with sealing tape, uncoupling, floor and wall tiles in various formats and laying patterns, channel drains, tile trims, skirting, grouting and silicone.
Can I enter the customer's tiles at my own price?
Yes. You can enter your own price for every line item, and everything is calculated with your hourly rate. Reading in wholesale prices via DATANORM is planned.
Does the app work out offcuts for large format?
The app suggests line items and quantities; for large format and special laying patterns there are separate line items or surcharges in the catalogue. You set the final quantity from your own measurements.
Does the app work in English?
Yes, the app is available in 22 languages, including English. You describe the job in your language, and the app creates the quote for the customer in German.
Can I send e-invoices to property managers?
Invoices locked in line with GoBD are included. E-invoicing in XRechnung or ZUGFeRD format is coming, as is digital quote acceptance by the customer.
